apparently, the cafeteria does a themed night every so often. tonight was "death by chocolate." each station had a different chocolate item. one of them was chocolate covered ravioli. my roommate and i had to try it, just to say we had. it consists of ravioli filled with ricotta cheese sautéed in a cloudy looking sweet sauce and then covered with melted chocolate and sprinkled with ground pepper. whatever the sauce was (i still don't know and don't really want to) was a tad disturbing. change that, very disturbing.
i'm not sure exactly how to describe what these ravioli tasted like, except that it was weird. very weird. i'm really sure ravioli is NOT supposed to taste like it did tonight. for future reference, ravioli and chocolate do not belong together. ever. never ever ever.
(katherine, i totally thought about you tonight while i was enjoying all kinds of chocolaty goodness (minus the ravioli) for dinner! :)
